Item No. 59. Marquetry Inlay Veneer Shell Inside Fan

I made this fabulous piece with an Aformosia background with Sycamore points.

I then made a Straight Grain Walnut oval banding with a Sycamore line.

For the Shell centre I used a Mahogany background with Sycamore and Boxwood Insets, shaded where necessary.

For the outside I used a made an oval black banding with a cross grain Sycamore band within. To finish I added another black banding.

Each piece is individually cut, shaded and Re-assembled.

Any veneers can be replaced, I.e. Mahogany or black background with either Boxwood or Sycamore insets.
